100×80 mm synthetic direct thermal labels are made on a polypropylene (PP) base and print without a ribbon. A synthetic face copes with moisture and rubbing better than paper, so the label stays readable in tougher conditions.
- Retail: product labels where moisture or rubbing is expected.
- Warehouse and logistics: labels for cartons and containers.
- Pharmacy: pack and auxiliary labels.
- Synthetic polypropylene (PP) face, supplied on rolls, ribbon-free printing.
If the label must last longer or resist light and cold, choose a thermal transfer label instead. Poson matches the roll and core to your printer, runs a test print and sets up dependable repeat deliveries.

Frequently asked questions
Which ribbon goes with which label?
Wax ribbons suit paper labels and cover most everyday jobs. Wax-resin gives a more abrasion-resistant print on coated paper and some synthetics. Resin is for synthetic materials such as polypropylene and polyester and withstands chemicals and heat.
Ribbon IN or OUT: how do I tell?
IN or OUT tells you whether the ink side faces the inside or the outside of the roll. The type you need depends on the printer model and is given in its manual. Tell us your printer model and we will pick the matching ribbon.
How do I choose label size and core diameter?
The label width must not exceed the printer print width, and the roll outer diameter must not exceed the largest roll the printer can hold. Core diameter depends on the printer type: desktop printers usually take smaller cores and industrial printers larger ones. Tell us the printer model and what goes on the label, and we will suggest the right option.
Can I order labels in a size that is not in the catalogue?
Yes, labels in non-catalogue sizes are made to order with a minimum batch. In your quote request, give the size, material, core and number of labels per roll. We confirm the minimum batch and lead time in the quote.
How should direct thermal labels be stored?
Direct thermal labels darken or fade when exposed to heat, sunlight, moisture, grease and certain chemicals. Store rolls in their packaging in a dry place at room temperature, away from direct light. For long storage or harsh conditions, choose top-coated thermal labels or thermal transfer labels.
Which receipt paper fits my printer?
Check three parameters: width (usually 58 or 80 mm), the largest roll outer diameter the printer can hold, and the core diameter. They are listed in the printer manual. Tell us your printer model and we will pick the right roll and arrange regular deliveries.
